Letter from the President
Welcome to Sigma Kappa Beta Zeta!
Here we are, fortunate enough to be one of the 16 remarkable Panhellenic sororities at the University of Maryland.
Sigma Kappa sisters embody their values in their actions each and every day. Friendship, loyalty, service, and personal growth drive each woman to better themselves and their communities throughout their time in college and beyond. From raising money for our philanthropies to participating in sisterhood events to strengthen our mystic bond, Sigma Kappa is a home away from home for collegiate women and truly enriches their undergraduate experience.
Since becoming President of this amazing chapter, I’ve been able to see what truly profound impact the women around me have made on myself and others. Sigma Kappa is more than the friendships I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had. It’s the genuine bond of sisterhood; sisterhood that is so sincere and deep-rooted that it lasts a lifetime. It’s becoming a well-rounded, intelligent, confident woman who is ready to take on the world outside of undergrad, knowing there is a foundational support system from years in Sigma Kappa.
The growth I’ve experienced in this organization and the support I’ve received from my sisters have made me the strong and confident leader I am today, and I’m forever grateful I took a chance on Greek Life and Sigma Kappa. Our chapter is a group of inspiring and ambitious women who undoubtedly change the lives of those around them, and I can’t wait to see the future women that grow from this great organization.
